Have to wait another week.

My life has kind of been on hold waiting for my port site wound to heal and get the results from my GP on how my liver was doing.  As of last Tuesday, my wound is officially healed but today my GP told me she wants me to wait another week before she runs blood tests.  She changed several of my medications, said to give it a week and then come back in for blood tests (remember I said after today I wouldn't have any doctor appointments for awhile.....I guess I lied!).  If she had the blood tests run today I'd still have to come back next week for more.  So, I go back again next Monday!  

We were looking at heading to Florida on March 4th but now that's on hold until I get my test results back.    But, I'm ok....my pulse rate has come down considerably, my legs and ankles are no longer swollen, my blood sugar has been much better, the nightmares have stopped and I'm sleeping through the night - all good signs my liver is returning to normal.  She also said I could start taking L-Glutamine but not at the same time as my synthroid.  She agreed it's worth a try to see if it will help with my neuropathy.  

She also told me it's a "good" sign my oncologist doesn't want to see me next month but has passed me on to his PA.  She said if he had any concerns, he'd be seeing me himself.  I thought, maybe that's true.  Maybe it's not either, but it made me feel better.
