Dancnbear Update and Question
Had another round of CT scans and unfortunately it showed the cancer growing and spreading which means no more votrient. That puts me at one clinical trial, sutent, radiation, and votrient over the last 3 years. The good side up to recently was that the total volume of cancer has stayed pretty much the same over this time period with just the elimination of some spots and the popping up of new spots. My one concern is a rather large spot on the back of my neck that gives me headaches and sometimes spasms. The CT showed no signs of it in the brain so that’s good.
So what’s next? Another clinical trial. Dalantercept and Axitinib (Inlyta). Does anyone have any info on this clinical trial with regards to results and side effects?

Sorry to hear that! You were
Sorry to hear that! You were doing well on the Votrient. How long were you on the Votrient? Is there any chance of you getting Opdiva/Nivolumab? They are using that now. I am not sure what the other trial was that you were on. Are you a member of smartpatients? They know about the trials there as well.
All my best to you, you will be ok.. xxoo

Biopsy
Heading into the hospital this Thursday to get all of the pre-clinical trial tests completed as well as will have a biopsy done of a lymph node under my left arm. They think that this may have something to do with the growth (about the size of a large marble) on the back of my neck. They are concerned that this may be a different type of strain of the RCC that I currently have. If the neck keeps growing then we are talking radiation or surgery. I think I would prefer surgery to radiation around the base of the neck and brain.
