    Pensacola Florida

    Just joined the group here yesterday.  I live in Pensacola and the white beaches here are awesome for me.  I have visited as far east as Seaside, on the other side of Destin, beautiful there also.  I not sure I can get together with everyone as I am just now starting this journey but would love to keep in touch with Florida Women.

    I am in Niceville!

    I have ovarian cancer. Just diagnosed today, and live in Niceville. Jackie, are you at Sacred Heart?  I have my hysterectomy on Friday.

    Welcome to the group, Jodisgoing!  Please let us know how your hysterectomy goes on Friday.  I'm hoping you have an easy time of it.  I had mine September 30th using the DiVinci robot and I literally danced out of the hospital the next morning.

    No dancing here :)

    It's going to be a "radical"hysterectomy. I'll be down and out 3-5 days, depending on how far it's spread.

    Welcome jacjac2 and Jodisgoing

    Sorry that both of you had to find your way here, but glad you found this spot.  I find it a great place of comfort.  These ladies can give much encouragement and advice.  I have been to Destin once, our only visit o Florida,  and thought it was beautiful.  Got to see a dolfin swimming near the beach.  Nice place to visit, but t tell the true, I prefer my mountains and snow.

    Jodisgoing, I also had a radical hyrsterictomy .  I was in the hospital a little longer because my bowels went to,sleep and they won't let you go home until they start working.  Nope everything goes smoothly for you and that you have a quick recovery.  Hugs and prayers to both of you,  Lou Ann

    Hi Niceville

    As I type this you are either in surgery or out.  Yes I am at Sacred Heart.  I started chemo yesterday.  Feeling tired today, headache but not sick at my stomach.  I hope the medicine is doing its job.  Let me know when you are out.
