DLCBL partial response to RCHOP.

My dad had indolent SMZL that later transformed into an aggressive form. After 6 rounds of RCHOP, we were hopeful for full remission. Unfortunately, his recent pet scan showed what I believe is only a partial response. I'm heart broken. I think it's on to a SCT.

Are there any success stories out there anyone can offer?

Sorry that there have been no comments. Transformed lymphoma is a special challenge. I hope that dad is being seen at a major cancer center, where clinical trials are conducted. There are gene rearrangement studies that can be done on his tumor cells that will reveal the particular mutations that his version has. That often changes the direction of treatment.

I am still here after my T-Cell Lymphoma (PTCL-NOS) branched off into Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma, while keeping the original type as well. I had two aggressive lymphomas. 7 years, 14 chemotherapy drugs, two clinical trials and three "inbihitor" class drugs later, I was in remission for the 3rd or maybe 4th time. We were then out of lymphoma drugs to use.

July of 2015 I had a haploidentical allogeneic stem cell transplant. No sign of the lymphoma now, but we are fighting the expected side effects of the transplant. It can be done, and I hope that he is hanging in there!
