Neulasta effects
Good morning everyone, I registered my grams with an account her screen name is shirleylenell28, she isn't up to getting on yet, today is day 4 after her second round today and the effects of the neulasta shot and the chemo she is really feeling today. It makes my heart hurt to see her in so much pain, but she is one tough cookie and only takes motrin for the pain, she doesn't like the idea at all of pain medication. Is there anything that you ladies have found to help with the bone pain ?

Neulasta
Taking Claritin starting the day before chemo and for a few days after helps a lot of people. My bone pain comes from the Taxol and the only thing I have found that helps is Tylonal if it is minor and Hydrocone if it is severe. I can usually get by with only taking Hydrocone in the evening for a day or two each time. Sometimes a heating bad gives me a little relief. Luckily it usually only lasts for a few days. Hugs and prayers to you and your grandmother. Lou Ann

Claritin D
I too take Claritin D, starting the day before chemo and up to 6 days after. I experienced terrible leg pain from my knees down to my toes, along w restless legs. Claritin D twice a day really provides relief for me. I had read about it in a "thriving cancer" book, but started taking it on the advice of my oncologist. I hope your grandmother feels better soon.
