Here is hoping 2016 is better
To all the "below the belt" warriors,
Looking back over 2015, and keeping in mind the previous years, I think of the friends we have lost. It is with hope I look forward to 2016 with wishes that advances in treatment, or dare I say, a cure, is found and we don't lose anymore beautiful, intelligent, compassionate women.
Happy New Year's to all.

I'll second that.
Since I'm only beginning this, I was surprised that the treatment (chemo) is the same as quite a few years ago. I know they have made advances in other cancers, but it really seems that UPSC is rare, and they don't have anything new to treat it with. I'm also hoping that something will come out that will help, at least if it recurrs. I have poured over old threads and wondered where some of the ladies are. Do you know if there's a place to see who made it? I know of two that lost their fight, but there were many I read that were active in the early 2000's, I hope they are OK and just stopped following. Happy New Year to all the wonderful people with cancer, and all their wonderful support staff.

Here's to a better 2016! The
Here's to a better 2016! The only good thing about 2015 is that I met all of you and you have helped me so much get through this "thing." And, I think you're right, Nancy. Very little is being studied for our cancer. It seems like breast cancer is top priority. I watched a little piece on tv about gene therapy for breast cancer and very specific treatments targeting those tumors. Why isn't this being done for UPSC?

I agree with everyone. Looking forward to a new year with positive news, peace for all and cures.
Today is my first day of energy. I celebrated by cleaning my house. Probably not exciting for most but I enjoyed it very much. There is a lot to be said for feeling normal. :-)
Now I'm resting. My sister-in-law arrives tonight for a visit. We haven't seen her in 8 years. It is way past time.
Love and Hugs,
Cindi
