The port is STILL open and is STILL infected. I have been changing the bandage several times a day but I can actually see the port through the hole. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and have no idea what they'll do. I'm scheduled for chemo on Tuesday but if they can't use my port, I wonder if they can just go through a vein?? My friend who went through six chemo treatments for breast cancer never had a port installed.
Take care,
Eldri
Until you posted about this, I had no idea a port could het infected. I am so sorry that it still hasn't healed. Hopefully the Dr. can you on the track to healing tomorrow. They reall should be able to do the chemo through a vein as many people do not get ports.
Hugs and prayers, Lou Ann

You sure didn't need this. Will be waiting to hear from you after your appointment.

You've really been through the ringer! I hope it is not too painful and that you can keep on schedule for you chemo. Good Luck, Sandy
I hope the doctor has good news for you today. I know you don't want to postpone treatment, but better to do that if you aren't healed from the infection than to expect your body the heal and deal with the chemo effects! I'm sending good vibes your way!
Love and Hugs,
Cindi
