Relay for Life
Has anyone taken part in a relay for life event? I'm thinking of joining one near me but I don't know much about it. Do I have to be on a team?

Hi! I know you posted this long ago, but I am new to this site. I have participated in many Relay For Life events. Most people are on a team, but if you want to find out what it is all about attend an event first or several...they are all a little different. Volunteer to help with one if you would like. Your local American Cancer Society office should be able to help.
As a caregiver, Relay For Life has been a tremendous help to me. It gives me an outlet and a way to feel as though I am really helpig the cause, not only my husband but people I don't even know. Relay is a great event!
I hope you find an event and that it becomes a part of your life.
