No that does not mean the end.  I went on Fentanyal a little over 2 years ago, fought the dosage, now at 125  I would have been on morphine but thru surgeries found Morphine morphs me into a miserable mean person and I would get violently I'll.   I too thought that was giving in to the end and I am still here.  Only difference is I function so much better when not constantly fighting the pain.  I sleep more, but function better.  It was Cypress Cynthia who told me that my body couldn't fight the cancer when it was constantly fighting pain.  So I tried it and over 2 years have had to up the dose.

Hope you feel better and that it makes the pain more tolerable  I would have never imagined how bad the pain could get, especially in lower spine, tail bone, hips and  thighs, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

    Hugs,

    Carol

I understand how you feel. I think when we hear the word morphine, we go to the worst possible place. I like what Carol said, your body can't fight this disease if you are in pain. I know it is difficult but try to see the theraputic aspects of the drug rather than the scary side of it. I am wishing you peace and to be free of pain. Love Surf

Just sending positive thoughts and prayers

So sorry your pain has reared its ugly head to the point of you needing morphine, and I hope it does its job.  I hope what the Amazing Carol has experienced can be of help to you.

    Hugs,
