Has anyone heard from Thaxter? Alexandra?  What other regular posters are missing? Some people just quit but others disappear without warning. I don't like it.

    Wondering too

I was thinking of him last month; he has not posted on Smart Patients in quite some time.

    I have been thinking about

I have been thinking about them lots too, Foxy.

In fact, I did some googling on Alexandra. She lives about 1 hour away from me. We were supposed to meet for coffee back in the spring, but that didn't work out. She has just kind of disappeared. No responses, no sign. I am praying she has gone of to Jamaica for some fun.

Hoping Thaxter is doing well, too.

    Hugs

is having a tough time.  the last time any of us heard from her was late October.  Several of us on the uterine and ovarian boards have been trying to search her out and are very worried.

    I'm still here!

I haven't posted for a while, just wanted to forget about it since we lost Djinnie. I have been going through some issues myself, surgery on right femur - insertion of IM nail for prevention of fracture due to bone met. This was followed up with radiation to both femurs. Have recovered from the surgery which I have to admit was worse than the removal of my kidney!

Also have a brain met which is being monitored. No radiation at this stage as there appeared to be some shrinkage between MRI scans, which is great. Have been taking Sutent since January with some of the usual side effects which are being managed, but generally feel OK. Last scan in July showed shrinkage in most of my many mets. Another scan next week for re-staging. Fingers are crossed for further shrinkage or stability.

    Best wishes to everyone!

Sue, Sue, Sue.. how I wish I

Sue, Sue, Sue.. how I wish I knew you have been struggling. I would've been there for you; I would've taken some of your fears and anxiety, your pain and suffering so YOU, my dear would have more time, more energy and less suffering.

Let me do that now. I sit here alone, with nothing but time, patience and the gift of caring kindess.

Take my gift to you~ please!

    Gentle Hugs, Jan

    Thank you !

    Sue:

so glad you returned to post and glad to hear that despite some issues, you are doing relatively well.

I can understand the impact of losing DJ; it hit me hard. She fought so hard with humor and grace, supporting others until the end.

Darn, Sue, miss your posts and hope you will be back more frequently

    Hello Sue,
    We have missed

    Hello Sue,

We have missed you! I do understand avoiding this place since the loss of our dear Djinnie. She was an exceptional lady. A big loss for everyone here.

You seem to be managing all the (pardon my language) crap that keeps coming your way. So sorry that it keeps coming at you. But we are here for you whenever you need some support. Keep up that fight!!

    Big hugs
