Got the brain MRI results...
... and it was all clear! I was really nervous because that's how my mom's lung cancer first presented, with lung mets that gave her seizures, etc.
I meet with the surgeon tomorrow and am eager to do the mediastinoscopy to get a clearer picture of what nodes are involved. Onward! :-)

Go get em, Girl. It's time to kick **** and take names. After 6 years post treatment for left tonsil, the ole dreaded Osteoradionecrosis is starting to take hold of my left lower jaw.......and this crap that we all go through seems to just never end. Praying for you, cause you're one of the best.

Thanks for all the support!
Thanks for all the support! It helps a lot. :-)
The bronchoscopy and/or mediastinoscopy to check each node in my chest is scheduled for tomorrow. He'll start with a bronchoscopy and then see if he needs to go to a mediastinoscopy if some nodes aren't easy to see. Apparently there are some concerning spots on the PET scan, so this will help understand if they're cancer or just general inflammation. It will also determine whether I can have surgery, which is unlikely at this point but not entirely ruled out.

will be an option.....that's my prayer and my wish for this day. That....AND that the concerning spots on the PET are from the infection....afterall, there WAS infection along with this other crap so it's certainly in the ball park that that's what they're seeing. Tight hugs....and positive thoughts!!

Sonetimes things can look like something but when they get the bronchoscope in there it can turn out to be nothing to be concerned with. It was on me and I have had that spot for 44 years now, it just sets there and scares the X-ray tech if I forget to tell them. Fingers crossed and prayers as well.
