Just diagnosed and scared
we just got the results of my husbands colonoscopy due to him having blood in his stool and they found a mass 2cm from anal verge (that's what the report says) they took a biopsy and won't know the results of it for 3 days . the doc said he thinks it might be cancer. We are scared. i want my husband to be a cancer survivor. Thank you for allowing me to join

I'm sorry that your husband's colonoscopy was not negative for any findings. I hope the biopsy will come back negative for cancer. Sending good thoughts to both of you. Please let us know when the results are in.

Stay positive!
Hi Misty
i was diagnosed with anal cancer in June. The pain was what drve me to the doctor. If your husband has squamous cell cancer the prognosis is really good!
Please check out Cancer Treatment Center of America.
Although they don't have a facility where i live, I am going there week days - they even pay for you to travel and check them out and give really reasonable rates for lodgimg and food is essentially free. And the docs and supporting staff are amazing!
This is not a death sentence!!!
Hang in there.

I am sorry you and your husband are going through this. It is a very scary experience. I hope the tests come out negative. If they don't, I hope you will be encouraged by the many survivors on this site. It's not an easy cancer to treat, but once treated the odds are in favor of beating it. There are wonderful people on this site who will be here to support you should you need it.
Wishing you and your husband well,
Liz
