I went for my 6 month check up today and was told that I do not have to come back for a year. Imagine that, a whole year. Yea. for me.

I also went to the CTU and gave away 37 chemo caps. Yep, I am still doing that.

Hugs to all,

Donna

Very happy for you! Isn't it a great feeling to start giving away the chemo caps and throwing out all those pamphlets?

    Yahoo!

So happy for you.  I was hoping for yearly in April, but I'm not so sure now (see my post on Hormone Therapy - 10 years).

    Suzanne, I was taking Femara

Suzanne, I was taking Femara and was allowed to quit after 5 years and 2 months. My onc told me that there was no evidence to support taking Femara longer and that it was not necessarily more beneficial than just taking it for the 5 years. There are studies supporting taking Tamoxifen for 10 years. I guess if my onc had told me that it would have been benefical for me to take the Femara longer, I would have done it too. Glad you are not experiencing too many side effects and that you are tollerating it well.
