Questions, questions, questions

in Bladder Cancer #1

New to all this and have lots of questions.  My mom is 69 and has been hospitalized for the past 2 weeks with severe bladder infection.  Biopsy shows low grade papillary urothelial carcinoma (which she doesn't know about yet - Urology appointment tomorrow morning). 

From what I'm reading it sounds like this is a very treatable cancer but my concern is that her health is not good (diabetes - poorly controlled; HBP; CHF, etc).  Just wondering if her other health issues will have a negative impact on the treatment she is able to take?  Any similiar situations, outcomes?

Any informatin is appreciated.

    Sorry your post hasn't been acknowledged before. This is a low volume forum and members are not monitoring it all the time. So please accept my belated welcome.I regret that I am not familiar with the particular cancer your mother has, or the complications resulting from her health situation. I thought I would respond just to let you know your questions are not being ignored. We've all been there one way or anoter, you might say similar but different. My thoughts and best wishes and those of many others are with you in this trying time. I know this does not address your questions, but I hope it helps a little.

    I'm hoping by now that your mom is in better health.  My diabetes is fairly well controlled and I underwent bladder removal last August.  I have the neobladder that is an option now.  I'm 66 years old and things are going ok.......7 months later ( now) and I am working on developing stronger pelvic floor muscles so that I get to the point of having more control ........We have to be patient with all this.  I hope things are working out for you and your mom.
