Been having major foot problems post chemo

Hello crc family I hope everyone here is doin great.. Been a few weeks since lasts post.. Did my last treatment July 4th wknd.. Besides the fatigue an occasional aches an pains everything has been great EXCEPT for my poor feeties .. I have pretty bad neurothopy in both feet and in the last 7 weeks an really bad an painful bout of plantar facities.. Omg this is more painful then anything I've been thru in last year.. Every single step is unbearable at times. Finally broke down an went to foot Dr.. Soon as I got my socks off he said my feet looked swollen.. He the showed me a needle the size of my middle finger that was goin to be insterted in both feet at the point where your heal meets your arch.. The pain was nothin like I ever felt.. As he pulled both needles out there was blood that came out as well. Sorry for the full on details lol ... He then said this is NOT good havin blood down there and it must be backing up from somewhere..  I just wanted to knw if anyone has delt with anything like this in there feet POST chemo treatments..

Thanks soooooo much for any feedback and as always this entire board and your families are in my thoughts ,prayers and my heart foreve.. One love to all :)   Smile today God loves you :):)

    Ah Man

So sorry to hear about this.  My neuropathy (hands and feet) increased since the Ox was dropped and now a month out from last chemo, but nothing like that happened. (Having troiuble holding pen and writing, etc.)  When i do take socks off, I can feel it more.  (Normally I am bare foot, but since this started always in socks.)  Cold sensitivity also came back a bit.

Are your legs swollen at all or just your feet?  Perhaps a vascular doctor can take a look?  Any change in diet?  Any other things like difficult breathing/shortness of breath?

Hope they figure it out quickly for you and it goes away.

    Let me ask

I work for a podiatrist once a week and will send a my boss a text and see if this is something he has encountered.

What did your Doctor tell you? Did he order xrays or an MRI?

I've had neuropathy since my treatment ended back in July 2013. I have not experienced any swelling, so cannot advice you on a personal level.

    Hey Sue an NEW :)

glad to see you both doin well :)

spoke to ONC's assistant today NOT my DR he 's like gettin the prez on the phone..lol.. Anywhooo she said she's not to worried an feels the foot DR may have hit a vein when he put the shots in my feet..  i dunno they been pretty swollen lately but she said just keep a eye on it and of course "I don't think it has anything todo wit the chemo". 43 yrs of playing 5 different sports I'm up an down on a truck all day at work never had a problem with my feets..  guess I just keep a eye on it.. She did mention for a brief sec about clotting ... :(  I guess I just take it day by day.. Thanks for feed back you both are amazing people on this board :)

    be safe
