strange? Juverderm after chemo is complete.. Yes or NO
Hi,
This might seem vain, and sorry, but the only reason why i am considering is that before i was diagnosed with Breast cancer i had gotten a injections of jueverderm. Yes, i know how selfish and vain it may seem, but i always wanted my lips bigger so i did it. Well, i have some juverderm left over, and now i am done with my chemo treatments, almost 2 weeks. I just want to go and use the rest of what i have. Is this safe to do.... I wanted to ask here first, before asking my onconologist.
Thanks you in advance

Definitely check in with your oncologist first
First, I think it's completely normal and understandable that we all need to do things to feel pretty, feminine, and NOT like a cancer patient, after completing treatment. Please don't call yourself vain and selfish!!
Second, I know absolutely nothing about Juvederm, other than those promotional videos that roll continuously on the flatscreen in my dermatologist's waiting room.
But I will say...for the first full year after finishing chemo, I asked my oncologist before I put ANYTHING in my body. If I wanted to take a vitamin supplement, or get a flu shot, or my primary care physician wanted to change my blood pressure medication -- I ALWAYS asked my oncologist first.
I feel strongly that chemo screws with your body in ways that other physicians won't always be aware of, for much longer than we may realize, and the only person I trust to evalute that is my oncologist.
Don't know if that helps?

I'm just going to echo what TracyInLA said. I don't judge you for wanting to feel pretty, especially with all we go through when fighting this disease! But I think your oncologist will probably know best if it's safe.
valuable information brought forward ...
