Greetings...
Greetings...
Just a flashback from 2014 to present, LOL...
As a few of you may, or may not remember that I had the Whipple back in April of 2014... For a pre-cancerous cyst that had a great likelihood of turning into cancer if not whipped soon.
So after having the whipple, not fully recovering, having an abscess that turned into a fistula in July.. Back into the hospital..
NPO, no food or water by mouth for many months while being pumped fluids 18hours a day via a PICC line... (mixed up by my lovely wife)..
Then having another surgery to close the fistula, that just wouldn't close in December...
Oh.., and losing 93#..., LOL..
Then having a base line CT six months ago that was read of having a possible mass..., but as this was the first post CT..., not exactly sure at the time.. So the wait and anxiety was initiated.., LOL.
I had my next CT this past Monday....., drum roll please...
Today I saw my Whipple MD and I'm official clean, clear and released.... NEGU...
Oh, and to date, no need for insulin, CREON, or any other drugs.., other than my daily one dose Protonix... But, that's an ongoing from the treatment of STGIII SCC Throat Cancer in 2009..., which I was given the all clear on that five year mark last year...
So at the moment, and hopefully the next 35 - 40 years..., life is good...
You all here are family, though I haven't been posting much on here during this ordeal.., I do still check-in often and occasionally throw out a comment or two..
Also, getting some time in to update the SuperThread, originally started by Dawn several years ago....
Best always,
John

Whoo Hoo John!!
I feel your relief 2500 miles away....and am so happy that you can now take your eye off that ball, and get on with your life without a weight on your shoulders.
I'm tickled pink....and damn....this was a long-a**ed time coming.

Greetings yourself
John,
It is nice to see you feeling better, much, much better. And tell me, what was it like being able to fit into your wife’s clothes?
Anyway, welcome back Skiffin16 and did you put NEGU in the Superthread?
Still looking forward to going fishing.
Matt

Very good news
John that is very good news and long over due. You have been through enough for 10 people, yet you always have words to help and encourage others. Yoe should be exemp from even getting a common cold now. If it gets where the protonix there is Dexilant which I had to switch to as protonix didn't do it. I have to even take two of the Dexilant but it is working. It is very expencive but the manufactor will send you a coupon and pick up what your insurance won't so your cose is only $20.I get a three month supply for $20 out of pocket which is not bad.
Glad to here you are doing so well and get some fishing in as you are over due on that as well.

Happy!
So happy to hear your news. You're one of the elite few who have had the thrill of hearing those wonderful words "NED" for beating not one, but two beasts. Time to take a couple of victory laps in your boat to savor the win (and the catch of the day). Do add NEGU to the thread so we know what it means!
