What can I expect?

My wife has stage 3 endometrial cancer and she was also recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. We have been through 5 months of chemo, 4 weeks of alternative treatment in Germany but her cancer continues to progress. We are awaiting a CT scan and MRI to figure out if surgery (removal of her uterus and possibly her bladder).

I don't want to to be a pessimist but I know her chances of long-term survival are limited. I know she's dying and I have accepted that.

What I need to know is what I can expect during her final stages of life so I can prepare myself. Can anyone help me?

I am so sorry for you and your wife!  I am not in your shoes, thank God, but have been around enough to know what it's like to face a situation like this.  We are so very different that no two peoples journey will be the same.  I know everyone here will be along shortly to help.  In the mean time, if you will scroll down the Discussion Board page, past the Uterine Board, you will come across a Caregivers board.  The people there are great!  Having been on both sides of the fence, I can tell you they will give you help, facts, suggestions, and support!  Check them out and come back here.  The ladies are pretty active on this board.  I am over on the Uterine board, post over there also.  We tend to all "jump boards" with the "Below the Belt" cancers.  Sending you and your wife good thoughts and cyber hugs!  Best, Debra)Jo)
