Valerie's sister, Cindy posted on Facebook that our dear friend has passed.  I am heartbroken.

    She will be missed...

    I'll really miss her helpful comments, her cheerfulness, and her sense of humor. She was a member here for over 5 years. RIP, poopergirl! You are loved.

    Val fought so long with dignity and grace and with a wonderful sense of caring for all of us.  I can't believe she's gone. Sending my deepest condolences to her family.

    In memory of Val, let's all remember to "stay strong".

    This saddens me greatly.  

    This saddens me greatly.   Val was a great support to me when my mom was fighting this beast.   She continued to post on my FB after my mom died.   She was a special lady and I hope she and my mom are talking about the good times right now.

    So sad to hear the passing of Valerie.   Thank you Karen for letter us know.   Valerie was the one who told me about the passing of ChemoPrincess (Natalie), whom had reached out to me since I was having kidney issues.

    I have been off the boards for a bit and am sadden that I hadn't reached out to Valerie just to say hi.   I am sending prayers to her family and friends and all who have been touched by her in some way.

    FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW ME, I LOST MY MOTHER 4 YEARS AGO TO THIS HORRID DISEASE...I COME RARELY ANYMORE, BUT WANTED TO CHECK IN TONIGHT TO SEE HOW THE WOMEN WHO SAVED ME AND GOT ME THROUGH THE MOST DIFFUCULT TIME OF MY LIFE WERE DOING.....VAL WAS THE BEST.....DAMN IT.......MS FANCIFUL......I AM SO ANGRY AND SAD.....I AM GLAD TO STILL SEE FRIENDLE FAMILIAR FACES...THAT MEANS THIS DISEASE HAS NOT WON!!!     Good to hear from you, Lisa.  So sorry about your mother-in-law.  You're right about this disease being horrid.  I have not been coming to this board very often either but I am going to check in more often.  This is where I first found comfort when I was so scared and felt alone.  We have lost many but there are still long-time friends and new friends here that make this journey a little easier.
