Great news! NED rocks!Skagway Jack said:NED
Wow it was a long wait, and good things sometimes take time. Its a NED for me! All good with one minor hiccup....another small cyst on my remaining Kidney. The oncologist did not think the new cyst was anything to be worried about it was very small. Lungs were clear, which i had been worried about due to a chronic cough. Will probably have to have that checked out with a regular doc, but my worries are relieved. Thanks to all for their prayers and nice thoughts. Now for that IPA!!

Such great news! So very happy for you! I checked twice today to see if you had posted already. Im assuming you had that beer or maybe two!
Our stories are similar and I too have had a cold and had been worried. Guess it's normal to worry. Now you can relax! Sleep tight.

The beer followed by sushi! Once again, thanks to all for the well wishes. I can rest easy for another year. Here is hoping all the fine folks on the forum good results with their scans!

yep, cough possible due to throat dryeness and irritation. Anyway, the worst reason for cough is excluded, the rest are benign :-)

Wonderful news; so happy for you. I too have a small cyst on my other kidney and one on the kidney that had the nephrectomy. Both under 1 cm so we're just watching them. Here's hoping they're just harmless annoyances for both of us Doc doesn't think they're of concern. Cysts are very common, apparently. Great news about clear lungs. That's always a worry especially with a cough. I used to be a smoker for many years before I quit so I'm always dreading the chest x-ray.

Jan, Thanks, allergies have been mentioned, but my enviroment has changed a lot over the last ffew months. I was overseas for about 6 months then all over the US since. The Onc mentioned that I should try a saline rinse for my sinuses and see if that helps. I was in some really dusty enviroments and one of my friends has said it took him nearly a year and a half to clear his lungs after returning, so I am hoping that I follow his lead and this goes away mostly on its own. It seems a lot less ominous now that I know its not caused by mets.

Congratulations on the good news Jack. Sounds like your cough is from enviromental causes.
