She was having HIPEC on May 22nd, and hoping to update us. I don't recall seeing an update or post from her. It has been over a month now.

Kipper, if you are reading this. We would love to hear from you. To know that all went well, and that you are recovering.

You are in our thoughts.

    Personal message

I sent her a message, and hope to hear back soon.

It is so worrying when things go quiet. Too many folks/friends have slipped aways and we've no way of finding out.

    Worried, of course.

Its so hard when a faithful member goes missing.

    Kipper is well

I have heard from Kipper and she is still recovering from HIPEC.

Its been a rough ride, and not without its problems, but she is doing well.

She is waiting for scans and results.  We all know how that goes. Waiting waiting waiting.

I am so happy to have heard from her. She has been on my mind, lately.

Remember her in your prayers and thoughts.

I'm doing ok! I just have had a busy life. :(  it is a pretty serious surgery. I've had some issues with infection and  abscesses on my incision. In one week, I went to urgent care, the emergency room, to the Drs. Office, back to the hospital for testing then to the emergency room again. I have some pain on my sides I'm worried about right now. I've had it since at least two weeks after surgery. I was forced to return to work Or start paying $1500 for cobra insurance. this is my 4th week back now. It about killed me the first week. But each week after it's been easier. I go back to the Cancer Treatment Center of America this Friday. I will get a Ct scan and cea marker at that time. I will try not to be lost for so long the next time.

    Nice

nice to hear so far so good. It sucks that you had to go back to work , but glad to hear you're hanging in. My motto is always one day at a time. You cannot look or think to far ahead. Because then the mountain becomes to high to climb.

hope infection will be under control soon. And you will start to feel better.

    Well the Ct scan revealed

Well the Ct scan revealed some nasty stuff. I have a blocked enlarged kidney. It's either the result of swollen lymph nodes, or scar tissue. Im having a stint placed on Friday. If that is successful I will start chemo soon. So I have several new swollen lymph nodes that weren't there when I had Hipec. I'm both discouraged and somewhat relieved. It could of been cancer tumors on my kidney or lungs. So I respond real well to the chemo. So this should get blasted fast.

    Drat!

I am very sorry to hear that you are having more issues. I hope the stent placement works wonders on your kidney, and solves the problem; and that the Chemo knocks everything for six.

Thank you so much for keeping us posted.

Hope things ease up for you soon Kipper!

Stents in place should fix that kidney issue and chemo can kick the rest of those nodes down!

You are a strong lady. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.
