Liposarcoma Retroperitoneum

On January 8, 2014 I had a 69.5 pound Liposarcoma  Retroperitoneum removed from my abdomen. I was very lucky to only lose my appendix. I had nerve damage and my left leg would not support me without a walker. I have been rehabilitating my leg and stopped using the walker in September, it is about 85% to 90%, and I am doing mechanical therapy 3 days a week and aqua therapy 2 days a week, and rest the other two days.

My health care provider schedules a CT scans every 3 to 4 months.  A small tumor appeared on my last two CT scans, it is 3.8 cm and I am scheduled for surgery on Monday, December 15, 2014.

My original Liposarcoma  Retroperitoneum was almost 70 pounds, I know that is very large but don't know where it fits into the other tumor sizes.

I would appreciate any opinions and guidance for my future recovery.

    tumor size.

WOW that was a big one. First I hope your surgery went well. My first tumor was the size of a football, and only 9 pounds. I cant even imagine how big yours was. How did you find yours? I had a hard time wiping myself.. I know-- to much information. I think a lot of this type tumor is large as it does not present with any issues until something like my deal happens. I just had my 11th surgery.. in 14 years and am doing great. After a while.. for .. it just seems to become routine. After a month or so its all but a distant memory. Where do you get treated?
