Im Still dancing with NED. Downside they broke my ribs on my right side by not once but twice shoving the mammo machine very hard into my rib cage.

    I am SO pleased that you got good results from your 5 year mammogram. I just celebrated my 5year anniversary last week. I am, however, absolutely appalled that you suffered broken ribs in the process. If that happened to me I would raising holy he-l with everybody in creation. I would start with the head of the mammography dept/facility. I would also file a formal complaint with the state organization that regulates and licenses both the facility and the technician. At the very least you should be compensated for any and all medical treatment related to the broken ribs. Receiving broken ribs during a mammogram is NOT a normal or expected result of this procedure. Good luck.

    Yikes, what happened after you injured your ribs? Did they treat you  at the mamography center or send you to the ER?  Who is responsible for paying for your care ? I hope you are doing well and am happy that you are still NED. Love Surf

    of all 'Clean' . . . 5 years and counting.   Like Miss Surf,  I am interested in what will happen with you now that your ribs are broken...  dont sound like a whole lot of fun.

    How on earth could they break your ribs?

    This is so horrible!  I have NEVER in all the gazillion times I've had a mammogram even worried that something like this could happen.   I'm very happy your mammogram is clear, but this event does not sound like it should happen under any circumstances.  Hope you're not in a lot of pain.
