Husband had CT today - 3 years and 9 months after stage 4 diagnosis with mets in liver. CT looks clear... details on tuesday... but - hurray - he still seems to be NED

    yes

    1st surgery to remove the tumor and the mets in liver and  one suspect spot on th peritoneum was on Nov 17th in 2011, 8 days after he was diagnosed.

    2nd surgery was about 8 months later to remove the ileostomy

    in Aug 2013 there was  some confusion about a suspect area on his peritoneum. There was a 3rd surgery to explore this and luckily nothing wsd found.

    Since then every check was clear. So happy

    Great news!

    3 years is significant to my onc. He thinks 'you're pretty much cured' at 3 and he's pretty smart. Hooray for hubby!

    We got the Details today.... nothing more to tell.. All fine... CEA 1.1 ... and next CT in 12 (!) months
