surprisingly good scan report

It was way better than I expected after all the Hell I went through over the past 2 months. The tumor between my IVC, liver and kidney that we did 4 rounds of SBRT is gone. The lung tumor and the chest wall tumor on my back that was ablated aren't even mentioned. The liver tumor that I did y90 on and ablated last December is still shrinking. My lungs are mostly back to normal since the infection. The large agressive tumor on my right 10th rib that caused me so much pain has now shrunk 7mm in 2 1/2 weeks. I see the IR in Baltimore next Tuesday to see if he still wants to ablate the rib tumor more. Its responding well but still pretty scary when you look at it on the images. An entire section of my rib is gone and replaced with tumor. There are small white spots which the radiologist believes is bone fragments. The other good news is that when he ablated that tumor he was trying to kill all of the intercostal nerves that the tumor was pressing on. Well mission accomplished. I am virtually pain free. It is still hard for me to believe. I have been having pain there for nearly 2 years. Long before the tumor even showed up on the scans.

    Oh, Happy Day!

    What a joyous post, Jeff.

Such good results, and you have worked hard and suffered for them. I am so very pleased for you.

May you continue to see improvement over the coming months.

Ride, ride my friend, but not into the sunset, not for a long time.

    That's awesome news, Jeff!

It's pretty amazing when you think of all you've gone through...to get to this point is a huge acheivement.    And much of that is due to your unrelenting efforts to find some possble answers.  It's truly impressive!

And being without pain is so great, isn't it?  Daily pain makes life quite unbearable.
