Reporting results with Avastin/Topetecan
Hi loves,
haven't been on the board for awhile and for those who don't know me, I'm a 9 year survivor, stage 3C, was in remission for 2 1/2 years and have been chemo in for the past 6 years. I did great with Cisplatin/Gemzar for over three years. That is a tough combo, but it kept me stable and you've got to love that! I'm now on Avastin/Topetecan and I wanted to report that I getting very good results! My Onc is thrilled and that makes me happy. I'll keep you informed.....
(((((Hugs)))))). Maria

Great news, Maria!kikz said:So glad to know you are doing
So glad to know you are doing so well, you are a true inspiration.
I follow many of the women who post on either the ovarian board or the uterine board. My Uterine Papillary Serous Carcinoma is quite similar to aggressive ovarian cancer. I am very happy for you and wish you the very best!

Hi,
I am new to this website.Hi,
I am new to this website. but thought you might be able to help me. I am currently waiting for prior auth from my ins. co. for a cat scsn of ny pelvic region and abdomen.
My symptoms have been, bloated stomach (went up 3-4 pant sizes) reflux, sour stomach, excessive salivation, as if I am going to throw up (doc gve me Ondansetron)
some lower back pain, pain in my stomach, shortness of breath. I am hoping they can go up as far as my lungs also. *
I am so scared.
The scariest part though is not knowing. - does the drugs you are on help keep the cancer at bay so it doesn;t spread further?
I should mention I am a granulosoma cell-atypical- ovarian tumor survivor (2010) had surgery hysterectomy, oopherectomy, chemo
