First positive CT in 2 years..
Small victories. My CT this week showed everything stable and the large tumor in my lungs reduced by 20%. I would have loved to see some reduction in the most troublesome (for me, not the doc's) tumor on the bottom of my tongue, but for now, I'll take stable. So, 8 weeks from now another CT and we'll see what we see. Methotrexate doesn't work forever, the doc said at some point we'll see growth again, but if we can get some serious reduction before then, It will give me more time for PD-1. I guess this means that I'm at least going to make it through 2015.
Take care folks,
Joe Cortney

Taxol quit on me around theKTeacher said:Good news
Anything positive is good. Make some memories now. Taxol stopped working for me. I go in at the end of the month. What you are on is one of the meds that the doctor mentioned.
Taxol quit on me around the new year. Took a while to know that for sure. If you go my route, one of the things you'll like is, at least for me, the drug is very easy to tolerate and infusion is only a 20 minute push.
Good luck, been pulling for you for some time now.

Stable is good.......
Joe that is good news that it is at least stable. Now we will pray for reduction as well. Has to be stable first, then the next is reduction, and then we pray for gone. You are always in my thoughts and prayers, stay strong as you always are.

Small victories are still victories! Hopefully there is a spot in the next PD-1 trial with your name on it.
20% reduction is certainly a good thing. Stay strong, remain positive, enjoy the gift of good news. Keeping you in my prayers.

Just went back in the gym and hitting golf balls again. Man, it's tough starting from scratch with no muscles...

btw, anyone ever hear from "T"? I'm sure he's fine but just haven't seen anything.
Hi Joe,
Sorry I haven't been around much. So thrilled to hear the positive news! You've fought hard and deserve it! Keep the faith and the positive attitude!
I'm doing good. Two years post the end of April and all is NED. I still have some side effects but it's all part of the "new normal". I've been going for acupuncture and it's helped a lot! I'm back playing music and the voice is returning and getting stronger. Just celebrated one year of marriage to my Chiquita
Thanks for asking about me. Keep me in the loop if yu don't mind. I'll be keeping you and yours in positive thoughts and prayers.
