RIP Saralee Sheehan
Sara lost her battle Friday, June 19th, 2015 one month shy of her 49th birthday. Most of you knew her as sasjourney. She was the sweetest...a friend I met here on the board. She was in the middle of her first rounds of chemo as I was finishing up. We discovered we lived only a few miles from one another and got together every once in awhile to chat and commiserate...she was always upbeat and positive. She leaves 2 beautiful daughters, her husband and a very devoted mother. I wish you'd all met her... Laurie

Thanks Laurie
I for one appreciate you passing on that info as sad as it is. We are all family here and suffreing from the same set of circumstances . Some get lucky some dont and there really does not seem to be much rhyme or reason to the end result. The one thing that is important is that we remember each and every wonderful friend that we have lost . I remember her as Sasjourney and my deepest sympathy goes to her husband , her mother and to her grieving children. May her eternal rest be peaceful now that cancer no longer rules her life , RIP Saralee Sheehan. With respect Ron.

That's heartbreaking, I'm so sorry for her, her family and for you. I remember being told shortly after my diagnosis that if a person has to get cancer colon cancer was the one to get because it's the easiest one to treat. Really? Then why do so many people die from it? And why is the battle so hard?

I am so sorry to hear of Sara's death. Blessings on her and her family. Sara was one of the first people on the board to reach out to me when I was diagnosed.
