Hello everyone
Hi everyone,
My name is Liv and I am pretty new to this site. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and had both chemo and radiation. I think the hardest part for me was to deal with the social and emotional side of the cancer recovery.
Inspirational sites like www.cancerless.org and www.cancerfilms.org/story-wall/might have been a help. What do you think?
Do you know anyone sites like these? And would you consider sharing your story?
Thank you
Liv

welcome
Hi Liv, I joined the best site ever in 2010 this one. I had to rejoin after being off site for 3 years. I was first diagnosed with bc 2009 with reoccurence in 2010. More recently, bc in other breast dbl mastectomy with breast reconstruction. When you get better and have a little energy, I definitely recommend the breast cancer center. I'm sure they will have one in your area or similar. At the center they have amazing free classes, massages, healthy cooking classes etc.most importantly, people that are caring and can relate. I wish the best for you and keep coming on the site

Liv - you took the words out of my mouth!
"I think the hardest part for me was to deal with the social and emotional side of the cancer recovery." EXACTLY! I feel worse emotionally now that chemotherapy is over. Just overwhelmed, grief-stricken, and incredibly lonely (which is why I joined this site).
I am going to check out the sites mentioned in your post - I need all the support I can get - and don't we all?

Thank you!!
These are great sites. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 11 months ago. On June 11th, I was told I was in remission. Since then, my emotions have been crazy. Its hard to try to go back to "normal" or the person you were before cancer. I'm so happy I joined this site to help me get through recovery.
