Hi Y'all
Hi to everyone young and old, I just wanted to let you know I'm still alive and doing extremely well, Dx 2009 Right tonsil cancer, 3 chemo cisplatin and 35 rads. All my tastebuds have now returned, chocolate was the last one to get and saliva is about 70%, I chew sugar free gum everyday I think this helped my sweet buds come back. Tinnitus is still around, slight hearing loss still, but all in all, happy days. This is a very curable cancer. Treatment is rough buy survivable. Good luck to all on your journeys. Love and light to all xxxx Jen from Western Australia

Wonderful News
great news, I'm 2 yrs behind you DX 2011 scc stage 4a rt tonsil....feeling really good , saliva probably 90% , still drink lots and lots of water...the only taste that didn't really come back is beef, but a small price to pay to be healthy.
Congrats again.

Hi
hi pascotty
I too didn't think I'd come out the other side. I'm feeling back to normal health wise. I'm energetic and positive. Can't eat solids but can blitz and drink through a straw. At some stages during the last two years I thought I'd met my fate but touch wood I'm enjoying life again. Got most of my saliva back, mucous practically gone, taste buds better on really sweet things, lost my liking of savoury, think maybe that will come back. All in all I'm satisfied how I am now.

Hi Pascotty,
It was good to see your name posted here again and to know you're alright and doing well. My case goes back to 2011 and I'm fine too. The tinitus I had prior to treatment so it is something I learned to live with. They can add white noise to a hearing aid but I said no thanks. So what if it sounds like Niagra Falls all the time? I just pretent I'm there!
Thanks for the update,
Tom
