Im gonna be highly dependent on my rig for a while, just wondering if anyone has any ideas of the types of stuff i can put through the tube. I dont think 2000 calories will be enough for me

PEG tube food
I been on the PEG Tube for a little more than 3 years now and I put anything I want through it. What I do is to blend it up like soup, humbugger, French fries, stake, fish, and potatoes. You can use a Montel or Vidmix blender or even a Magic bullet blends, add a lot of water and you have PEG tube food. Also don’t forget to asks you doctor as well.

Curious about that those fries, can you taste it a little. I have a ibuprofen that is fizzy and strawberry flavoured and i can taste that a bit in my throat . Also how do you know you've put too much food into the tube

I agree with Tim. Pretty much anything can go through the tube as long as it is very well blended and thin. Always be sure to flush well. Jim's incGood lucksurance paid for a high calorie formula and the equipment to set it up on autumatic so it fed him while he was asleep. Then he had all day without having to worry about going through the feeding. He was self concious about doing the food directly around people. Good luck. Debbie
