Chemo showed a kind of stable response after 3 rounds and cea was dropping!. Largest liver met is 8.2cm. However in the past 1.5 weeks my dad's bilirubin has been increasing a lot .

Im so scared - this mean end stage of cancer plus he's very weak and appetite loss .

    Dear Friend,

I don't know anything about this, but it could simply be that as the cancer cell and maybe some liver cells are dying the bilirubin is rising. The fact that the CEA is dropping is very good news.

Wish you guys strength to get through this and the best outcome.

    Blirubin

My husband's bilirubin rose due to a tumor pressing on the bile duct to the liver.  He was having pain from that so they did an endoscopy and put a stent in to keep it open.  Maybe they should do a ct scan check your father's bile duct.

Tears relieve emotional build up, so go ahead and cry.

I pray that your father recieves some level of comfort.

So glad to hear the CEA has decreased, and here's hoping that the bilirubin gets back into normal range.
