Grandson
Those of you who are my friends on facebook already know this. My grandson, who is 12, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He's started chemo and is starting to feel icky. Queasy and tired all the time. I thought I hated it when I had cancer, but that was nothing to this. So, so sad...
*hugs*

I'm sorryNewHere said:Thoughts With You and Your Grandson
I hate hearing someone has cancer, and that hate is increased when children are involved for sure.
Thoughts are with you, your grandson and family. Hoping to hear good news soon about him.
to hear about your Grandson. No child should have to endure any kind of cancer. None. Zero.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your Grandson.

Gail:
I am sorry to hear this. Hopefully the chemo will arrest the cancer. A few people I knwo that had either Hodgkins or Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma did very well after treatments with no recurrences and it has been many years for them. May your beloved Grandson have the same result. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear this especially when it is a young child. Hope that his treatment goes well and he gets some great improvement. This disease has no mercy. It just so sad.

I'm so very sorry to hear that your grandson has to go through this. Nobody deserves this and a child much less so.

So sorry!
I hate to hear about the young children, and the young adults fighting this battle.
When I was feeling sorry for myself, I would think of those little children on the St. Jude commercial. My heart would break for them and thier parents and I pulled up my socks and realized that my lot wasn't so bad, after-all.My thoughts are with your little lad.

My heart aches for your grandson and for you. I worked on a pediatric oncology floor for 18 yrs and the spirit and resiliency of these kids is amazing. So not fair that their childhood is interrupted in such a hard way. Prayers that he soon returns to health. He is lucky to have you as his Nana.
Hugs,

My heart breaks!
Children should not have to go through that.
My brother had non-hodgkins lymphoma 15 years ago and was fine for a long time. Rectal cancer was a separate cancer altogether. Do you know what meds he's on? My brother was on CHOPS!
Ask lots of questions and make sure they keep you/him/family informed of any side effects that can occur down the road. Hopefully he breezes through this and never has to deal with cancer again. My best wishes to your grandson.

Hi Gail, very sorry to hear
Hi Gail, very sorry to hear that. It's so hard to see young child get sick. I have seen a couple in the hospital, really made me sad.

Wow Gail, Now that's heavy.
Wow Gail, Now that's heavy. Thank God that Hodgkins is curable. Dear God, this is a harsh world sometimes. Prayers that he gets through his treatment easily and gets back on to being a 12 year old having fun as 12 year olds should. I'm really sorry this is happening to you guys.

Grandson
My heart aches for you and especially his parents, such heartbreak to watch a child go through chemo.
Fortunately he has one that chemo can fix well, it's just so incredibly sad he has to go through this, but I'm sure he will emerge a stronger, vital, resilent young man.
Again my heart goes out to your family as you go through this, a cyber hug for you dear, and many more.
