I miss my Dutch friends! We had the pleasure of their company for a mere 12 days....and in the process put a lot of miles on my car!

Itinerary:
Day One: pickup at LAX, visit in-process Medical Museum in Pomona, bring to Redlands.
Day Two: JetLag day, around Redlands and up the mountains to Lake Arrowhead and around the Rim of the World Highway.
Day Three: Palm Springs.
Day Four: SHOPPING in Redlands. Ultrasound for my 'pillow' in my shoulder. Pasadena for a speech about the Civil War by my beau at the Historical Museum.
Day Five: Early: Left for Southwest Adventure: Indio for date farm, East around Phoenix, AZ, North through Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. Denny's in Flagstaff for dinner, where it SNOWED! On to our hotel in Williams, AZ.
Day Six: Grand Canyon
Day Seven: Left Williams, AZ and headed Northwest. Stopped at vista for Lake Mead, then took a tour of the Hoover Dam. Arrived Las Vegas Flamingo hotel for check-in and a show at Planet Hollywood. Cruised the Strip, ate late dinner (12:30am).
Day Eight: Strolled the habitat at the Flamingo hotel, checked out, headed downtown. Stopped for lunch buffet at Circus Circus. Cruised by the Pawn Stars (TV show) Gold and Silver Pawn shop (there was a line) and downtown for the 'Fremont Street Experience'. Headed Southwest for home. Stopped in Baker, CA to see World's Largest Thermometer (newly renovated and working).
Day Nine: Give the driver a rest day. MORE SHOPPING.
Day Ten: Glendale, Hollyweird, Beverly Hills, UCLA, Malibu (lunch at Gladstone's for fish, right on the beach), Santa Monica pier, 4 hours (!) standing in traffic on the way home.
Day Eleven: Final shopping, and packing. Good news from oncologist.
Day Twelve: drop off at LAX.

WHEW!!!

Hugs, Kathi

    Whew Is Right!

Now you need a vacation. LOL  I am jealous, though. Have thought it would bve fun to visit the "Gold and Silver". I love that show. Of course I'm very familiar with northern Az as that is where our vacation home was located. So hard not to be able to jump in the truck and go to the cabin.

Happiness to you on your lab findings and I know all will be well.

    Love,

    Wolfen

From A.S.U. outside Scottsdale, it was a short ride North....

Visited often Oak Creek Canyon and Slide Rock....and then normally overnight partying at N.A.U./Flagstaff....

Sadly, I could not go for another slide ride, even if I wanted to....water too polluted....Cry

    Hugs, dear one!

Nothing like a packed itinerary.  Sorry you had to pack so much into such a couple days but it sounds like it was wonderful.
