Seek bless and help
I came here first July, last year. At that time, i guessed i have a NPC since i have a family history and bleeding mucus in the morning and painless swollen lymph nodes on left neck. But through CT scan and nasal endoscope, everything is good. I have done biopsy with needle and came back with no cancer cells. So i think everything should be ok. Due to this experience, i keep my eye close on nose. Recently, i found nasal bleeding mucus in the morning came back again and went to see my ENT doctor. He found a significant nasal sptem spur in left nasal cavity by nasal endoscope with camera. I took the medicine of anti nasal inflammery. This Thursday i will go to take MRI scan on sinuses and neck. I think it may be real cancer this time since the nasal endoscope is so different after around one year. One year ago, nothing. One year later, obvious nasal sptem spur came. Maybe tumor growth is so fast. I need your bless to peace my mind.
One help:
I am making appoinment with MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER. Last year, i tried make appointment, but declined due to no obvious cancer symptom. This time i want make appointment and make sure what happen. If it is cancer, i will receive treatment there. I have called them and got recommendation. One option is my ENT doctor refer me to there. Another is my medical record shows i have the cancer, or appoinment will be declined. If can i require my ENT doctor refer me to there? How to talk with my doctor? I am afraid ENT doctor think i do not trust him, and he refused to refer. Since i am from Asia, i can not see doctor thought.
If you have experiences to make appoinment in MD cancer center, please provide advice.
thanks so much.

Time to sit down and breathe....
A spur of the septum is a long ways from having cancer....they are common, and lots of people have them....get them taken out, and move on like nothing ever happened. An ENT is more than able to recognize the difference between a bone spur and cancer. Spurs are bone growth....one in the nose is no differenent than people who get bone spurs in their necks, or backs.....shins....you can get them anywhere.
My experience with MD Anderson, is there is no reason to contact them unless you have been diagnosed with cancer. Once that happens, they are very quick to get you in....
I am 99.999999999% sure that you are fine.

I really appreciate your response and experience with MD center. I am very curious why spur growth is so fast, only one year. I will wait MRI SCAN. Thanks for your 99.9999999999%.

Blessings
Phrannie is right. Over the last few months that I have been visiting this site, there have been several people who have expressed their concerns that they thought they had cancer. Most of them did not. Your doctor is doing the right tests to find out what is wrong with you. So far those tests have not shown cancer which is wonderful news. If MD Anderson won't take you, another ENT could give you a second opinion and the peace of mind you need.
You said since you are from Asia, you can't see your doctor's thoughts. Although your written English is good, it must be very difficult to find the words you want to say. Translators are available at most major hospitals.
I wish you peace of mind and God's blessings on your health.

I have bone spurs too.....
I have bone spurs also. The key word is BONE. Worst case is they will go in and remove the spur and you will go home most likely the same day on next if you get some swelling. Bone spur is about as far away from cancer as you can get. My bone spur is in my neck and they grow both directions. A few are pushing on my nerves in my spinal column, very painful, and the other is pressing against my esophagus when I swallow the bolus hits it. What you might be looking at is nose surgery at the worst. Please be thankful you do not have cancer. I have to agree with all the others...........
