dentist in Oregon

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

Hello

I had tongue cancer and it spread to my lymphnodes when I was 21 years old.  I'm 36 now

and having constant dental issues because of the radiation.  I just moved to Corvallis, OR and I'm looking for a Dentist who has experience with this issue.  I'm willing to travel if there is an experienced dentist available.  Any recommendations in Oregon.  Thank you

    CivilMatt is in Oregon.  You might message him.  You could check with OSHU, they might be able to give you some names.  Dental work is such a pain but needs to be taken care of.

    You might contact...........

    You might contact the hospital or doctors where you had it done and they might know or check into that for you. If not call your insurance and ask they might be able to help as well. I know my insurance [Aetna] does that and surched all oner to find me a supplier for my larngectomee supplys. They even got into an argument as the supplier said they didn't take the insurance and Aetna had to get a supervisor to explain it is covered, but they really helped me. Best of luck finding a good denist and wishing you good health as well.

    I have what I think is a very good dentist and I am 11 miles away in Albany.  Matter-of –fact I was NEC (no evidence of cavities) at yesterday’s 3+ year check-up.

    I don’t know what experience he has with our types of issues, but I can sure provide some contact information if your Corvallis search turns up dry.

    dental issues

    I have had my shrae of dental issues like osteo radio nurecosis of my left saw and had to have that replaced 6 years ago...before that early on i did not live on flouride jell as i did have close to $2500 worth of dental work from my own denstist but was quoted  $ 10,000 form a refereial from oshu ...i live in portland ore and would like to hear from any one from our group that lives n oregon...I would just make phone calls to find out if you can give you  referals that really know what you need......hard to tell but we do have a few good one around town and i am sure in corvalis ore eugene... my email address is mel1940@hotmail.com  if you have a specfic need for the right one  and i will try to help you further...
