It is really great when you get to meet face to face some who you have been talking to for more than a year.

It was great to meet Don in person. I will say he is one special man.

Thanks for taking the time for me, and I also had my 18 month check up......NED agian.

I sure love to hear that NED

    Thank you Phrannie, John,Mrs BD, Guzzle,and Nolesmom. Everyone is like my extended family and have helped, been helped, and shaired there joys and problems as well. I have met [on line] so many and some have been through hell and back but I consider friends, and lucky to be some help if only listen when they need it, or give support when I can. Just knowing there are such wonderful people who really understand how you feel helps. We all have some very dark times and I am doing very well, so I made myself a promise, that "I am in for a penny in for a pound". If I can help some new member not be as scared or help direct them to someone who could help, or just be there when they need to vent, I should be there and will try to be, as so many were there for me. Thank you all.

    We do get very close to one another on site here.  I may never have the opportunity to meet any of you in person, but I know there are other's in the world that truly understand this crazy walk many have found themselves on.  Nice looking picture guys !  Hugs sent !  Katie

    Congratulations on a successful rendezvous, in celebration I re-inserted my PEG and blew-up a balloon (just kidding).

    You each bring a lot to the H&N  table with sound advice. Keep it up.

    Meeting Bill was great! You never know when you stroll up just what will trigger so you know that is the person. Bill was easy to spot, not many with a hole in their neck! lol

    What amazed me the most is how well and clearly he speaks, well beyond my expectations. Bill explained how it all works and that amazed me too. With chronic lung issues, it makes it that much more a miracle how strongly and loudly his speech is.  

    Getting involved with educating young kids is really tremendous and worthwhile. If a single life is spared the horrible experiences dealing with cancer, then the hard work is rewarded. Make sure to post the videos the folks at Stanford are encouraging you to make.

    Your new mission in life post cancer is admirable. Wishing you continued success here at CSN, Stanford, and the schools.

    Bill your hair is different along with your glasses so I more than likely would have asked for ID.  We are some unique individuals and anytime we can meet and share some abi-normalness is a great life experience.

    I didn't relize what you said about the hair.......Then it dawned on me I was wearing it down and it got a little long so I comed it back. Funny when I was in my teens it would only go up, in a flattop or butch but now it will do most anything, part on left or right go forward or go back. Had it in a ponytail for clost to twenty years when I was heavy into the martial arts. Now I try to look like a grandfather should,  LOL.
    It was a really nice meet because I feel you are all my family.

    Thank you Debbie it was great....

    We do get real close to one another on this board as we share such personal feelings to cope with this. At times I can share feelings that only the ones here do really understand and become part of my family. We are there for the up's and down as well. When you get a chance to meet someone who has been a big part of your life and recovery it is just a pleasure to do so. Thank you.

    that is fantastic!!!  both the meeting and NED!  that much handsomeness in one room at the same time should be illegal....lol.  great pic guys.  i have a plan to meet grandmax next month and i'm very excited.  it really warms my heart when our family members get to meet one another.  this is a lovely family and i'm so thankful to be part of it.  love and hugs to you all.
