CEA results

I finally got my CEA results today. It's 2.9 which the doctor said is within normal range and actually is lower than it was when they last did it in the hospital. It was in normal range then, too. I don't remember anyone telling me what it was before today but that's okay.

I didn't realize how scared I was until he told me and then I burst into tears. I know that's not proof the cancer is gone, at least for now, but it's still reassuring. I've been working so hard on getting myself back to normal after the blood clot that the cancer worries kind of fall behind.

    Yay!

I think any good news is always welcome. Those blood clots, yikes! My brother had a lot of issues with clots. That had to put in an IVC filter and he is on Xarelto for the rest of his life.

I hope things keep going on the upswing for you.

I'm glad that your CEA was

I'm glad that your CEA was good and that you can breathe at least a little sigh of relief!  You certainly deserve to have some of the burden lifted.  *tight hugs*

    Thank you Lady Skye!

    Hugs are always appreciated!

And Lin, I'm exactly the same, I have the filter and am on Xeralto for the rest of my life. They've tried to remove the filter twice but both times there was a big clot sitting there waiting so I still have it. I'd rather keep it, just in case. It makes me feel a little safer. They can't seem to decide if the clots came from the cancer surgery six months before or from the chemo, which can also cause them. It sure made me realize how vulnerable we are. Quite a wake up call.
