Hi,

I am from the anal Cancer Forum.  My dad 84 was diagnosed today with colon cancer.  He is going forward with treatment, chemo and radiation to shrink the tumor.

Do you know of others who have undergone this treatment at this late age?

what was the outcome?

thank you for your help.

    Danker is our man

We have a member here, Danker, who is in his 80's. He pops on now and again, as he is doing well after doing the rounds.

    Good luck to your dad.

    Best wishes!

I guess it all depends on his health. If he's in good shape and wants to fight, why not? If he's not in the best of health, you have to weigh the risks and benefits. Talking to his onc about your concerns is a good idea.

    Good luck!

like he wants to do it so he's got my support. I love a fighter! Best wishes, best of luck to you and your dad.

    Thanks

Wow!  I'm really impressed with the positive responses and he will be to!  Yes we love a 5 year survivor at 77 now 83.  He plays golf every day.  I would say he is in good health.   I will come back for information when I find out what chemo he will be on.

    Thank You!
