Ultrasound today~
I finally had my ultrasound today! Of course I don't know anything more than I did before! The tech said it could take up to 3 days for radiologist report. What I do know is everytime she stopped the transducer it was on the spots of pain and she would click away on her monitor. She also turned the monitor away from me when she noticed I was looking:( She was very nice btw but I think she didn't want me to worry:( I was looking for any dark spots as I have seen them before when they did my Liver and know what tumors look like (Mine are benign on liver but are watched for growth). She had a look of concern in her eyes however when I told her about the ongoing pain and docs think I have Costochondritis! And that I feel like something is going through my milk ducts. I would only know this from my past 2 pregnancies and breastfeeding. Forgot to mention that in my previous posts when I mentioned my symptoms! I hope I hear something tomorrow but it may not be until Monday! There were 2 spots on left breast were she stopped (no pain on that side) and she stopped at least 4 times on left breasts, where I have complaints of pain, ect. And clicked away. I am assuming she is measuring what she found. As this is what they do when they monitor my Liver area. If there is something suspicious does anyone think they will speed the process up or call my Doc? I told her the general area where the pain is but never pointed out the specific spots, as she didn't ask. I find it ironic that she stopped at these spots, including my armpit! Any input ladies or experiences similar? I thank you ladies sinecerely in advance<3

I am trying to remember. I
I am trying to remember. I think that I had both a mamo and ultrasound on a Friday. I had an idea I was in trouble when in both instances, the tech came back to take some more images because she had an idea the DR would want more. Either Monday or Tuesday I knew that my own DR was doing battle with my insurance company about ok-ing an MRI for me. At first they said no, but soon changed their mind. I had that MRI either that Thursday or Friday.
I think that if the DRs sense trouble, they speed things up.

Thank you so much for your reply desertgirl947! I haven't received a call yet. I suspect it may be Monday:p I do know the tech turned the monitor so I couldn't see it and stopped the transducer over the painful areas clicking away at the monitor! I am in alot of pain, breast, chest, armpit, shoulder, scapula, ect. And of course in alot of worry. The pain is waking me up even with Vicodin. But of course that's my least concern right now! I realize all I can do is wait at this point. Can't help but wonder whether Doc will call me in or just call with next instructions, biopsy, breast specialist? Questions, questions, I know:p I do hope tthey will speed things up because of what I've mentioned about this pain for the last 1 1/2 yrs. I can't help but wonder if I have mets to the ribs, ect. now:( I want to thank you all for your replies, life experiences, ect. and will keep you posted as soon as I know anything! Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Mother's Day for any of you Moms<3

But of course they did it on a Friday and you worry all weekend. I had mine on Friday and they called me on monday and went back in that afternoon. If they do find something then everything goes real fast. I blinked one day with the mamo then blinked again and BLM done and all healed.
Relax and do you best to keep it off your mind for this Mothers day weekend.

Yes, I am definitely worried:( The pain is usually fairly controlled with Vicodin but finding it quite intolerable lately and especially in shoulders, ribs, right arm, ect. Nothing to do but sit back and wait. I go back to work Monday and will keep my phone close by! If I don't hear something by the afternoon I'm wondering if I should call them as pain seems to be increasing? Also because I want to know results of Ultrasound. Or, should I wait for them to call me? I am trying not to worry hubby and haven't said a whole lot to him except that I had the Ultrasound and come what may I will deal with it! He wants to take me out tomorrow to by my usual flowers that I plant every year! I am in pain but feel compelled to go just in case they order a biopsy and I'll be in worse shape after I'm sure:p I'm am going to give it a go as I love my flowers and gardening! I have not said anything to anyone else either, except this board and Cancer care forum. I don't dare say anything as I don't have an official diagnosis yet. And I don't want to alarm anyone. I'm alarmed enough:( I will take your advice and do what I love to do this wknd. I am so fortunate to find these boards and you wonderful people! Thank you so much for time, it is greatly appreciated!!!! If anyone has had any experience with the ultrasound thing, where she was stopping at painful spots and clicking away. Or pain in ribs, scapula, arm, ect. feel free to chime in:) Thank you again and I will definitely be checking in as often as possible<3
