Pink Bus back in the garage....for the moment....

Thank you all for your warm thoughts and wishes....I felt you all there with me!!!

 

This lymph node could be something major....or something minor.  With my history of 2 primary cancers, it could be either one of those, or potentially a new (!!!!) site.....I'm suddenly finding myself chanting "3 is a crowd!".

 

BIG kudos to my oncologist and her N/P......they are taking this VERY seriously, and scheduling many things STAT, including blood work, an ultrasound of my neck, and a biopsy of the node that is enlarged.

 

I will keep you all posted as I find things out....

    I just talked with the hospital....first available for back-to-back is next Thursday (next week).

     

    Oncologist is ok with it....so I guess I am, too....HATE waiting....

    My N/P knows that I like to know all of the possibilities (even the bad ones), so she proceeded to list all of the scary stuff it could be...

    ....and then the last thing she said was "Or it could be nothing....just some passing reaction....but with your 2 primaries, we must be very sure!"...

    It IS hard to wait!!!!

    ...but it is a must....tech wants to do both ultrasound of neck and biopsy of node at the same time...

    I'll get the bus ready

    Next Thursday is a date.  We will all be here to support you Kathi!

     

    While the bus was in the garage we have a "lost and found" pile building up.

    1.  one rabbit house slipper with pink eyelashes

    2.  1/2 bottle of wine   (guessing glow forgot)

    3.  one unopend chocolate bar....guess the cleaner of the bus gets to eat.

    4.  calendar of events with every Friday circled..and says  "I made it through another week pain free"

    5   one yellow and pink hair brush  (no hair in it to help identify the owner)

    6   one fuzzy looking thing..not sure if it stress relief squeeze ball or cat throw toy

    7   beautiful red, white and blue scarf the tag reads (Made in America, where winners live)

    8   now this one gets me  -  one size 36 BB white and blue poka dots bra. 

    Anyone want to claim ownership of any of these?   They will be in lost and found for a week..

    Kathi, I'm glad they are taking everything seriously - and I hope the outcome is nothing.  I guess the good thing is if you were to present yourself to your doc with no past history of cancer, they might just watch this to see if anything changes.  You are being taken seriously and when this turns out ot be nothing, you can know it's nothing instead of waiting.  And if it is something, you will know how to proceed. 

    When do we need to get the bus out again?

    There are SOME blessings for having 'tussled with the beast' before!  And, for me....I KNOW I can 'get' cancer more than once!!!!

    Hate the waiting game after testing, or procedure

    it has to be one of the worst things to go thru.  Hoping you have many things planned to keep your mind, body and spirit occupied.
