PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE listen to us.

We understand where you as forum moderators are coming from, but when we hear that one of our own has passed, we want to go and look at their profile. We want to remember them, to see their picture. This is a part of our gireving for them, and a small part of our ability to pay our respects.

    Hi Everyone,

This is also in response to the thread:
    http://csn.cancer.org/node/293803

Mike has been a great support and invaluable to our CSN family.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike, (thxmiker) and his family and friends.

I did some digging and for some reason when you click on the link that Trubit shared -  http://csn.cancer.org/user/131132, it says page not found. Please know that Mike's account is active. To view it, please copy and paste the link above in a new browser window or you can do a username search.

    Warmest regards,

    Thanks Kim, but I'm curious.

Thanks Kim, but I'm curious.  all of the other profiles that were deleted, was it because the family requested it.  Or csn policy which has been revised?  Error?

    Thank you, Kim

Jen told me it was still working, and that makes me very happy.

I still hope that CSN won't delete pages of those who have passed.

    I appreciate your reply.

    grrr

I am at a point where the departure of long time friends and acquaintences saddens me even more than before.  When their bio pages disappear, it makes me more sad, and really mad.

    Frustrating

I've long posted my frustration with this practice and started a thread on it awhile back and they blocked all further responses.  It doesn't seem fair that they get to decide to take down a page that someone else created and spent time to inform others of.  Don't agree with their practice regarding this and never will.  I'll never have anyone post anything publicly on this board when I'm gone just for that reason.  My profile page is me, and when that is gone on this board, I've left all my experiences, my symptoms why my diagnosis, my treatments, my support, etc. all just gone - poof.  My journey will always be on this board intact because no one will no I'm gone.

    It feels

like someone is giving the boot to our dearly departed. I haven't been on the board as long as others but I feel the same emptiness thinking my words and my experiences only hold value if I'm alive. It's my belief that we learn from those who walk before us. Unfortunately, cancer isn't discretionary. It takes the wisest and most informative people along with lurkers. It seems that if you invest and become part of the CSN family, your absence is noted and you may be deleted. If you lurk and have no investment, your absence isn't noted. I don't throw out my mementos if someone I love passes on. Make no mistake, I love my CSN family. They are the ones who understand my fears and hopes. They share the same sick humor and they cheer like no others. This band of brothers should be enticed to post and share not lurk. I want to feel that my words will live on. They were important enough to write.  I have nothing against those who read and don't post  I just think that those who do shouldn't be punished
