Pink Bus Monday
I'm not real happy about a possible lump in the reconstructed breast that had the bc. Its kind of a mess on the side anyway. They did sentinel node biopsy, radiation and diep flap reconstruction. Its very tight and I do exercise every day including pec flys but I haven't noticed this before. Please send prayers and would love company on the bus!
Thanks sisters,
Sharon

Try not to worry
I have a friend who had so many problems on the surgery side that she was wearing extra padding on the real side! There are so many things this could be, like scar tissue or benign cyst. The main thing is you are getting it checked out - good for you. Save a spot for me on the bus, Anna

Also noticing tingling and numbness in my left hand. Same side as the radiation. Anyone else have this? Thanks, Sharon
I wouldn't call it neuropathy (I know about that from chemo days) but my right arm is weaker. If I do too much work with it, my hand seizes up and hurts so much I can't make a fist with it. Also I get a puffed and itchy upper arm occasionally. Resting it usually helps after several days, but as I'm right-handed this is annoying. I'm the left-handed ironing expert now after BC! Hope yours gets better in time.... Anna

Pink Bus Monday
Good morning Sharon,
I read your post and wanted you to know I will be thinking of you. I am very interested in your situation as I am going to be having the DIEP Flap proceedure but not until a while from now. I had my double mastectomies and noticed I have a large lump that showed up out of knowhere this week on my chest. My surgery was in August. I was wondering when yours showed up or has it been there since your surgery? Sending you BIG hugs!!

Went to see onco
The neuropathy in my hands prompted me to get an emergency appnnt with onco. He said to lay low on the weight bearing exercises for now but is sending me to a surgeon to diagnose the mass in my left flap. Kind of getting terrified once again that this could be more cancer. Hope its just a complication of the diep flap which has had problems with grafted fat coming out towards armpit. Just noticed this lump the other day. Please send prayers. I need them!
Thanks,
Sharon

Sometimes these lumps we get are scar tissue which is notorious for moving all over the place....I hope that this is just a case of something like that.........What time is the Bus leaving the Pink Waiting Room Monday? I have to be someplace that day but if I miss the bus...you can bet I will be with you in Spirit.
Sending Prayers for Strength and Courage............. Gloria

No pink bus Monday. Took the bull by the horns and got an emergency appnt with onco. He recommended a surgeon and I will call him on Monday for an appnt. I'm trying to feel the prayers and courage you all are sending!

Sharon,
I spoke with my Oncologist about this sudden lump on my right breast. He said that he believes it's scar tissue. I had double mast in August and choose to remove my right breast as well due to a small tumor showing up. It was benign, but I wasn't satisfied leaving it. I still have requested a scan of it for my personal peace of mind. I'll hold your hand if you hold mine

Yes, I will certainly hold your hand and we will both be OK....I offer you my strength and support. It's wonderful that your onco thinks its scar tissue. Mine would not commit, although he did say there are so many problems with scar tissue and adhesions with diep patients.... My likelihood for local recurrence is also higher than most as I had locally advanced breast cancer. I'm praying the surgeon will be more positive! Definitely need your support and friendship. All of you sisters are wonderful! I don't want this beast in my life again!
Best Always,
Sharon Doria
