Post complete hysterectomy endometrial cancer in my omentum

I don't have exactly what you've got...YET. But since my endometrial cancer (MMMT/carcinosarcoma) went through maybe 90% of my myometrium, cancer in the omentum is anticipated.

After diagnosis and surgery in 2013, I had six rounds of carbo/taxol. I finished that in September of 2013, but now in April, 2015, I am still suffering quite a bit from nerve pain and neuropathy.

For most people, I understand, the neuropathy problems diminish over time. I met a cancer survivor of 12 years this past January who told me his neuropathy did not decrease markedly until 3 years after his chemo. ended. I found that to be incredibly encouraging! So, don't give up! Things might get better in that department.

I am four years and 11 mos. out from my surgery for stage IVb UPSC. I went through 6 rounds of carboplatin and taxol, nothing else.  I had very bad numbness in my feet for the first year.  At first I couldn't even feel the bottoms of my feet and I fell once because of it.  It got slightly better and became just when I went to bed that my feet felt numb. For some reason, being horizontal seems to make it worse for me.  Eventually, I got stabbing pains in my feet after a couple of years or so.  I would get shooting pains up into one toe in particular.  I just had bunion surgery in Feb. in that area, and the surgeon told me that I had really bad arthritis in that area.  I also have it in the same toe on the other foot, where the skin over the upper joint is red. The surgeon said the redness on the outside meant arthritis in the joint.  Even after the surgery, I still get worse symptoms when I am lying down in bed.  I tried 6 accupuncture treatments and Lyrica within a few months of chemo, neither of which worked at all.  The PA at my oncologist's office had told me that accupuncture works for some people.  I think I'll probably have this neuropathy (and pain from arthritis) the rest of my life.
