19th chemo today Good day
i had my 19th round of chemo today (2nd Doxil) and everything went well. My CA125 was down after 1 round of Doxil from53-37 after progressivly raising on Taxol the last 4 times. Maybe we are headed down the right path again. Best news in a long time. My oncologisy added Deedron to the pre-med to see if it would help thye rash that showed up last time. Side effects have been very minimal so far. The only glitch.... I have to go bach tomorrow to get the lovely Neulasta shot. My White blood cells are too low.
I can handle that. I am feeling very blessed in so many ways. Hugs to all of you. Lou Ann

I had my 19th treatment the other week. We truly are on the same path. Scan yesterday and no call from my doctor yet which is a good sign! Stay strong Chemosabe!
Good Morning!,
Glad to hear that you are both doing well after your 19th treatment and continue to do so. Each day truly is a blessing and I know for myself that I no longer take my life for granted (or my health).
Hugs to you both,
Cathy

Great news
So happy for you both!! I meet with my oncologist tomorrow to see if we can continue with Doxil...I was at the half way done point, with CA 125 dropping and CT showing everythingshrinking when side effects took off like a run away freight train...developed major hand/foot and the chemo rash/burn from hell. Clearly Oncology and Dermatology had never seen anything like it and my oncologist initially wanted to stop treatment because she is not certain that adding steroids and reducing dosage will be enough to prevent the side effects from coming back at this level (truly brought me to my knees, but interestingly once they started me on steroids everything cleared up almost immediately in terms of pain. It will take a little while for the skin issues to clear completely). I'm so glad you are both at a good point. Keep us posted ad have a great weekend! - Helen

The both of you are very strong and encouraging to all on this board. I really wish you both well. Please take it one day at a time and things will get better. Lots of hugs and most of all speedy recovery. Thank God for your Great Husbands. Be well.
All of you plus Ro (and others) help me keep my head on straight during all of this. I don't know what the future holds; but then again I never did know that pre-cancer either. All I can do is remain open to all of these experiences, stay positive and appreciative and live fully. Thanks to all of you, Ro and others I know I can do this.

Hoping by now you have gotten good news about your C scat. Waiting can be so hard. I feel so sorry to know someone else has to go through this, but it is comforting to be able to talk to someone going through the same thing. it sure looks like we are on the same path. Hugs and take care. Lou Ann

I believe that additude can be a life saver, and I think this sight is very helpful with that. The heartfelt encouragement is uplifting. It is so sad that we all have to go through this, but it is comforting to be able to talk with others going through the same thing. Hearing other ideas is reasureing to me that I am recieving the best care that I can Have. i don't pray for a cure, I pray for a strong faith, strength and courage to accept God's will for me. You are going through a very hard time and have every right to complain. I think everyones journey is a little different, no ones treatment plan seems to be exactly the same as the next person. I can't imagine having to go through 5 hrs for two days in a row. my 1st 17 lasted about 5 hr each I would have had a hard time going back for another day. I have a person from my town that was getting chemo for 3 days straight (Yikes). I usually have a time of Oh Whoa is Me about 5 days after chemo. I yell at my poor husband and cry. then he holds me and just lets me cry and life gets better again. A good cry can be very thereputic sometime.. Hang in there it does get better. Hugs, Lou Ann

I am there quietly sitting beside you in your corner. You may not have heard my cheers of good will when you have received good news, or have heard me shout. " Oh , no ", with your disappointment in dealing with yet another hurtle. I never in a million years would have thought that I, an athlete with vibrant health, would be here and now conversing with you and my other new sisters in this battle against uterine cancer. It remains surreal to me , even months later. Nevertheless , Anne, you inspire me with your true grit; i.e., your unfailing positive attitude and your intent to live life fully. Run with it, as you run with your horses. Grab every drop of joy, every ounce of meaning each and every day of your life! I believe that a cancer diagnosis causes all of us to pause, to question and to consider what it means to be alive. Perhaps we all should face that pivotal question with or without facing a life-threatening diagnosis. I for one can say that I have grown as a woman because of this unique experience.
I wish you , Anne, and all the tough, resilient and vibrant women who I have gotten to know from their post: To you all God speed and infinite joy,
Cathy
