5 years along with latest CT.
Hi everyone:
March 17 was 5 years since they took a biopsy that stated I have Squamous Cell Anal Cancer. So I survived the 5 years and hoping for many more.
Last CT scan on Friday, March 13 showed a new pleural based nodule on the lower lobe of the left lung. Will be seeing the pulmonologist next Friday and Oncologist on Tuesday. The good news is the original right lower lobe subplural spots were not mentioned. I will update as I find out. Husband is having more health problems....needing to feed him now many of his meals. Just for those who do not know....I'm also a caregiver to him for the last 9 years out of 10 year marriage...Major Stroke and Parkinson. Going on a Pilgramage to Lourdes, France with Malta Knights end of April. I pray for CSN daily and will take all of you on my pilgrimage.
Blessings, tory

It's good to hear from you, my friend. I certainly hope all the best for you with the pleural nodule and may your docs have a plan in place to take care of it. I'm very sorry that your husband's health continues to worsen. I don't know how you are juggling all of this and my heart goes out to you. You have amazing strength!
Your upcoming trip sounds wonderful and I hope nothing stands in your way of going. Please keep us posted. I send you hugs and prayers.

Thank You Carol for your kind comments.
Looking forward to Lourdes trip. My husband, John, will be in respite during that time, but with me in heart every step.
Blessings,
Going to the oncologist today to see what he has to say about the nodule on the lung.

Good luck with your appt. with the oncologist today!

Thank you Martha. Bottom line, I have to still play the waiting game. Another CT in 3 months. He doesn't think it is anything.
See what the pulmonologist says on Thursday.

I hope your oncologist is right, but it's a good thing that he is keeping an eye on this. As much as I don't like getting scans and all of that radiation, they definitely have the power to give us peace of mind. I hope that your next one will show this to be something totally benign with no change. Let us know what the other doctor has to say on Thursday. I will be praying for good news.

Congratulations.
Congratulations on your milestone, knolltop. France is beautiful, be sure to look around as much as possible. And your husband is one lucky guy!

Thank you. I was in France in 1976. This time I will be on a pilgramage in Lourdes. Yes, will be absorbing all the sights and sounds.
My husband is the most wonderful man....even being 24/7 full care...he has such a gentle spirited nature....taught me what true love is all about. He will not be joining me on this trip. He will spend the week in respite at the VA. During my treatments and surgeries...i've only been about 15 minutes away from him. This is going to be the first time soooo far away. His two sons will visit and make sure all is going well for him.
Blessings to you.

Also praying that you get good news from your oncologist about the lung nodules. Over the years my CT scans have shown some nodules and thankfully they were nothing to worry about. I wish you the same.
