Just a thought for the Staff....How can we get spell check to work on this site. My computer will on all other things I do but for some reason it just won't work here.  By the way, i'm terrible on spelling.

Just a thought if it can be worked on that would be so nice.

Does it work on this site?

Does your spell check work on this site? If so it might just be my browser. My spell check works on all other sites, just not this one. Yes It can try to type the wrong thing as well.

    Thanks Bill

Mine works all the time as auto correct. It can't be turned off. Maybe because it's a tablet with some limited features. I just hope it doesn't ever get me in trouble with the crazy substitutions it comes up with!

    Spelling frustrations...

    Beth - I usually call those "type-oh's"...  :)

Bill - I tried both Firefox and IE to test their spell check feature. Neither works on this site. Just from poking around seems that the site itself may lack a "library" to check against. Don't know if the folks here will trouble their host to dig that deep.

One workaround that I can think of is open Word or another word processing program, type out your response, do your spell check in that sotware, and then cut and paste into the forum.

You can also download 3rd party software like ieSpell. Haven't used it so not recommending it but looks like an option.

As an old proofreader myself, I hate making spelling errers... :)

    Spelling

Bill you are not the only one, my dyslexia that I had when I was young came back after treatment twice a bad as before. I have to write everything in Word format to check the grammar and spelling and still get it backward. I look at it as just a part of my new normal.
