Momma Ellen
It breaks my heart to have to post this. My name is Jennifer Satterwhite. My mother, Ellen Kinnamont (MommaEllen) went to be with Jesus on February 16th. Throughout the month of January she continued to get weaker and weaker. I won't go into the details of her struggle at the end. Quite frankly, I lived it daily and can not bear to relive it now. You should know that my mother was a fighter to the very end. We were told on February 8th that she wasn't going to make it through the night. She lasted a whole extra week! That week she spent mostly coming in and out of conscience. At one point she woke up and i asked her how she was feeling. Her responce, "With my fingers!". I laughed through my tears. A few days later she woke and gave me the biggest smile when i told her i loved her! She was my best friend and a fighter all her life. i am so blessed to have been her caretaker. Such valuable time given to us!
She loved this message board and talked as if you all were her best friends! Thank you for loving and caring for my mother. It is such a blessing to know you all were there for her. Our family is small but her extended family was HUGE!!! Love and hugs to each and everyone of you.
Please feel free to contact me at rysmom07@gmail.com.

And it breaks our hearts to read this
Oh, Jennifer, I'm so so sorry. Your mother was lovely and loved you very much. I remember several of her posts talking about you and her family. Since she last posted, we kind of knew this day would come, but knowing doesn't make it any easier.
Thank you for letting us know. I send good thoughts and prayers and a giant hug to you and your family. Your mother will be missed by many.
xoxo

So sorry to hear this
Hi Jennifer,
Please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother. She was, indeed, a bright optimistic presence on these boards and we will all certainly miss her now that she is gone. I am sure she loved the time she had with you since she spoke so highly of you so often.
I am saddened to hear this awful news.
Take care,
Clementine

Saddened Deeply
I was just getting ready to post this. I received an e-mail from her daughter today. The last time she posted she said that she was going off of all treatments and let hospice take over. I am so heatbroken, but I knew something was wrong when I e-mailed her quite awhile ago with no reply. She woke up and told her hospice nurse she heard angels. Now she has her angel wings on and are with them. Prayers go out to her daughter and family. Hugs, Pixie

Hi Jen.
Please accept my condolences and prayers. There is a sense of releif that she is no longer suffering, yet you never stop missing your mom! She was a lovely lady who really loved her kids and grandbabies.
Sometimes we are fortunate and have an opportunity to meet some of the ladies from here in person. However, after being on this site for a while, we tend to make some very strong friendships that go beyond the cancer. Cancer is the thread that gets us together, then it is kindness, humor, support and personalities that form the friendships.
Thank you for letting us know about your mom! She is a lovely lady.0 -

I remember when she posted that she was calling in Hospice and that the Hospital Bed would be in the Living Room I think she said.......and she said it was the hardest thing she had ever done. What a Fantastic Woman and thank you so much for letting us know that she is at Peace and Flys with the Angels now. Bless you for being such a Good Daughter to your Mom. Prayers for you and the Family.
