Has anyone been to an ACS Bark for Life event?

Wondering if anyone has ever been to one of the ACS' Bark for Life events?

Bark for Life is a fundraising event open to all canine companions (and their owners), and it looks like a lot of fun:  a 1-mile walk, music and food, vendors -- and every dog gets his/her own Bark for Life bandana! (I'm a sucker for swag, even if it's swag for the dog!)

I missed the first Bark for Life held in our area last year, as I found out about it after the fact -- I'm excited to sign up for this year's, and check it out.

Anybody else done this?

    as everyone knows - I have 2 - four legged girls - going to check this out ..

    emma and Charlotte are small girls - who fancy themselves German Shepards

    Wasn't aware of these events, 'til now. Wow. (Or, perhaps, BowWow is more appropriate.)

    I'm certainly going to see if there are any in my area.

    Events held at different times of year in different areas

    If you type in the name of your state under Find an Event on the page link I gave above, it seems to sort alphabetically by event name, so all the Bark for Life events in your state come up first.  

    The event in my area isn't till August, but many areas seem to have them in March or April.
