Checking in and more prayers please
It has been over a month since I checked in here. I was saddened to learn of Pat's passing and problems others are having. Especially sad to see so many new diagnosis. But it was good to see that John, Skiffin is on the upside of recovery and finally fishing. Oh how I would love a plate full of Specs right now.
I have really been struggling this month with sadness and loneliness. The first of the month was when Jim went on Hospice last year. The 2nd of March would have been our anniversary and April 17th will be the one year anniversary of Jim's last day with us. So please keep me in prayer during this time.
My mother's lung saga continues. She keeps coughing up blood and having breathing problems. They did another bronchial scope which showed nacrotic tissue and further lung collapse so a CT was ordered. CT showed several lymph nodes lit up and so a biopsy was ordered for the largest in her neck towards spine. Surgery was last week and we do not get the results until the 25th of February. The surgeon has told us that she is a never before seen case and the board is trying what they think will give an answer. She is weakening a lot during all this. She is 84.
As for my health, I am having some bowel problems, bloody mucus and blood clots. Just went on Medicare the first of the month and having problems getting in before mid March to primary care doctor. May have to go to an Urgent Care to be seen.
Sorry this was a long one. Please know that I think and pray for you all the time, even if I am not visiting the site often.
Blessings, Debbie

Thoughts and prayers coming your way. So sorry to hear about your mother and hoping her tests are clear and that the doctors can figure it all out and how to treat her. You need to get yourself into a doctor before mid-March. If you can't, go to an Urgent Care that takes Medicare or go to the emergency room. I know that many doctors aren't taking new medicare patients. But you should see a gastro doctor for your problem. If you are on straight medicare you don't need a referral to see a specialist as long as they take medicare. Now if you are on a medicare advantage plan, some do need referrals. My husband is on Humana Medicare Advantage and doesn't need referrals. He can see any doctors as long as they take his plan.
Wishing you peace and comfort -- Sharon

Nice to hear from you but sorry the news wasn't better. My husband had a significant stoke the end of October and has not been able to return home. He has been in rehab but returned to the hospital yesterday. I miss having him with me terribly. I delayed my own surgery from the first week of November until last week. Hoping the fistula will close this time.
I know you are sad and miss Jim. I wish I could say something to make it easier. I hope you will find an interest to put some joy back in your life and wish your Mom well.
Stay strong

Sharon, I have an appointment with a gastro doctor on Thursday morning. They moved my mom's appointment to this Wednesday which is scary. Thanks for the prayers. I think and pray for you often.
